Message: Say, Joe, I ordered a pair of the 2" lift shackles from Aim and just received them yesterday and I noticed something. On one of the shackles the part with the bushing through it is welded on crooked! Will this screw up the shackle or can I put it in anyway. It is not grossly crooked, but noticable when you look down the length of it. Should I send it back and ask for another or will it be fine? Thanks.

Message: Coop, Id send it back. Your probably gooing to have a problem with the bolt going through it to the frame. Id call them up and make them send one out ASAP. Man I tell you, we just get one bad report after another with these guys dont we! I guess I can be happy I have had no problem with their stuff. Good Luck.

Message: Update: I called the friendly guys at Aim and they assured me that it was no problem and that most of their shackle models are like that and that if I had any problems putting them in to give them a call and they would ship me a new pair, so I thought, what the heck. I put them in tonight...3 hour job, truck falls off of the jack stands, yada-yada, and they actually fit! The only problem I have noticed so far is that the right rear leaf now rubs my exhaust pipe-I think I will pop the pipe loose from the hanger and tie-wire it about an inch lower, easy fix. I will go and look around thouroughly tomorrow-its dark out now, and look for anything else. I drove it around the block and jumped around in the bed and all seems well so far, will keep my fingers crossed though. I will swipe the digital camera from work one day and take a pic of my truck and post on this site for you all to look at. Thanks a million Joe for all of your advice and I will drop you a post when I get a pic up.

Message: Joe, if you want I can e-mail a picture to you of my truck. I posted one for the picture forum, but I don't know how long it will take to get it posted. Oh, what were you talking about on the end of your last post, something about a steering wheel?

Message: Hey man, about the muffler, i had the same problem with the shackles. I just removed the muffler pipe support hanger and bought another one from autozone that was 1 inch longer....it's good now. I wheel it off road alot and it does not make contact with the pipe. :)
