They've been putting off the release of a 2000+ Dak susp lift for well over a year.
Don't anyone hold their breath ... they just toss a date out there every now and then to quiet us down.

Message: so are lift companies just scared of our trucks or whats the deal? I'm getting tired of waiting. My truck's a 2000 and its 2 years old and the only thing i can do is body lift it. That is just ridiculous. i'm not saying that a body lift is bad, but a 12" body lift would look really dumb.

Message: FYI guys.. Rancho didn't release there lift for 97-99 untill late 99. Then Dodge changed everything and now Rancho is quite reluctant to put out another lift for the Dakota. I've heard from some shops that Rancho has told them that the lift will infact come out in November of 2002 but they haven't given any of them details about the lift.

Message: knobby, i also heard a rumor about a new lift, but it wasn't from Rancho. i was told by one of the local shops, Trick Trucks, that Superlift was going to be coming out with a 5" lift for the Dakotas, they didn't have to many details on it, but that was almost a year ago. who knows what these company's are doing, i doubt they know if there coming or going.

Message: Hey steve, apparently the local shop around here SELLS the superlift 5" lift. I've seen two Durangos lifted not up close but the man said he has done both. So something is out there and I know this guy won't touch anything from truck'n, tc, or anything of that nature. He says he only does lifts of quality.... so maybe superlift is really out there hiding from us all

Message: NOT!
Your "local shop" sounds pretty lame if they don`t even know who the real maker of the lift kits that they are installing.
No, Superlift does NOT make a lift for any Dakotas (or Durangos) yet. They have to be confusing it with the Tuff Country lift.
If someone can prove otherwise , let me know , so I can get one for my own truck. They are a great company.

Message: ChrisG.. Find out about that Superlift.
Scott.. If I had to do it all over again I'd go w/ the body lift. I worry to much about this one breaking on me.
If I get all my bills paid for and Superlift comes out w/ a lift I will definatelly consider upgrading to a quality lift like that.

Message: I have a '97 Dakota that I am running 33's on. The 3.55's just are'nt cutting it when it comes to towing and mud-flinging. It's no trouble to find gears for the rear, but I have not been able to locate anything low enough for the front. I am looking for at least 4.10's. Does anyone know where I can find a set?

Message: Knobby,
I agree with you about the lift situation now. If a Superlift kit was available I would get one in a heartbeat. I have owned one of them in the past and had no problems for the 4 years I owned the truck (V6 Xtrcab Toy on 38s with 5.71 gears). I will definately not buy a proven kit.
I may go with a body lift, I really like the look of the susp. lift though. Right now I have no option. If nothing becomes available before I`m ready to do something , I`ll go with the PA kit.
Oh , one more thing , I hope this Rancho kit will be more than 2.5-3 inches! That`s a pretty lame excuse for a kit. If it`s not more than a body lift(in height), seems like a waste of money.

Message: I am going to find out where this store found otu about the Superlift and tell them that I have called superlift and they said they don't make one. Should be interesting to see what they say. Some people are lazy and you never know if this lift is brand spankin new and the guy on the phone was new, or just didn't really care. 5"'s would be nice from a well known company too but don't get your hopes up because it is all just rumors!

Message: VA Dak, if you can find a local diveline shop where you live, talk to them. They might be able to find you gears. I went to my local shop and they found me 4.56 gears for my truck they told me it would cost between 700 and 800 dollars for them without installation kits.

Message: VA Dak
Your front diff is a plain old Dana 35 center section. People probably aren't entirely sure what they're looking for for you, but if they know they need gears for a 35, they should have no problem. Options for our trucks (97-00) are 3.55, 3.95, 4.10 and 4.56.

Message: UWGriz, since you've seen the inside of your diff. (not by choice I'm sure hehe) is it a C-clip design? I've been trying to find a locker (ARB or electric) to slap up front and the manufacturers either have no idea whats up front and those who say "its a Dana 35" ask me if its C-clips or not and all I can say is "that's why I'm calling you". I'm not gonna rip apart my front end to find out what it is and have my truck out of commision while they send me the diff. Any help you give is appreciated.

Message: Griz, your right about the gear options for our trucks, but the gear options only go up to 99 not 2000. In 2000 they started using the new Millimeter front diff. I know this because a buddy of mine has a 2000 Dakota and the Front diff design is completely diffrent. Just a little helpful info for all ya'll.

Message: On the Dana 35 IFS, its not a c-clip. the front drive shafts will pull right out after you remove the knuckle. I had a 1996 Explorer and it was A Dana 35 thats why I know. I have a 2000 SLT now. Saw the light.
