Subject: Another Tire Question IP: Logged
Message: I know, I know you guys are tired of getting tire questions buuuuut, I have a 2x4 3.6 1998 getting ready to put on a pa body lift 3" and a 3" fabtech sus. lift. I have been waiting to move and now that I have its time. The only thing I need to buy is the tires I know I want Pro Comp Muds I just cant decide if I want 32x11.50x15 or 33x12.50x15 I have egal 589 8x15 I dont think the 12.50's will fit but I was thinking of going with 33x11.50's so I could get the extra height. I don't mind trimming but I dont want to have rubbing after trimming. I just dont know which way to go. Is the extra 1/2 inch of height worth it?

I'm pretty sure you should go ahead with the 33X12.50 ProComp Muds, rubbin shouldn't be a major issue with the Fabtech and PA lift. I'll post a website with a 2X4 with the same basic set-up of 3"+3" = 33X12.50 on 2X4 so you can see it...i believe it belongs to TallQuad.

Message: Cool thanks man, I think I just needed alittle push to make myself do it, it does look good. Now I just need to see if the tires I want will fit on 8" wheels.

Message: As long as they aren't above 35X12.50...you should be fine. 33X12.50 is your best bet on an 8", but if you really want to push it i think you can fit 35s without too many complications. I doubt anything taller than 35 or wider than 12.50 will work.
