That's just one of the many names 'Truckin Suspension' is selling their crappy suspension lifts with. See Knobbyman for details.

Hey I just got a truckin suspension 6.5 inch lift professionally installed, they did an excellent job, truck looks great, good product, you see knobbyman, put his on himself, and thats where all his problems began, no regrets here, I think its a good product, if you have it professionally installed.

bigdakota , Are you really Ian from TruckinSuspension? You have posted on every thread about your truck, and no Knobby did not put his on himself , he had one of T.S. "pros" attempt it. If they felt that was not going to work , they should never have agreed to do it that way(in his driveway)! Personaly , you sound like a salesman for Truckin Susp.Sure hope I`m wrong `cause that means T.S. finally got their sheit together on these lifts.

I have been wanting to lift my dak since 2000, and finally built up the courage to go through with it (financially). I just happened to get lucky and get sponsored by truckn. My e-mail addy is Ryan_boisture@hotmail.com if ya want some pics, I should have them posted, with me in em, by the first of next week.

And your are right Knobby about your lift, they said they had some bugs in the 2000 and above lifts, but my 98 lift turned out perfecta mundo. Hey Knobby, I really feel bad for ya, sounds like they stuck it to ya, I hope you can get some payback on those guys personally. Take em to court or something

Sorry to doubt you Ryan , the whole Truckin lift fiassco with Knobby put a real bad taste in my mouth about that company. I`m glad your lift worked out alright. Now maybe they will figure out the `00 and up lifts.I can`t wait to see your truck , I`m sure it is bad azz with that much lift.
BTW did the shop have ANY issues with the lift kit itself , ie. did they have to fab anything or was it REALLY a complete kit.
Again , I`m sorry for doubting you , happy 4-wheeling!

Ryans kit is a custom fabrication and installation. The installation did take fabrication of new bracketry from our prototype kit to correct alignment and steering issues. The measurments from his truck were used to correct the prototype just like we used the measurements from DPkerns and Knobbyman to correct issues with the 00 and up kits that we have now shipped 18 of with no complaints. Look for pictures on our site soon.

umm...just a question Ian...If you willingly admit that the suspension lift you sold Knobby had alignment and bracketry issues, why didn't you at least compensate him for the P.O.S. lift that you sold him? I mean after all you used his truck to correct the shortcomings of the lift? That must be part of truckin-suspensions policy of great customer service...screw whoever you can to get the product out there. It would be one thing to f*ck up a truck fitting the prototype lift and then fixing any problems that were created in the process...taking responsability...and another to f*ck up a truck with a P.O.S. lift and then telling the customer to go screw themself because you got what you wanted...as in the case of Knobby. If you would have at least helped him get his truck up you wouldn't have all this bad publicity on this sight. You would have read instead "The lift truckin suspension sold me had some shortcomings with the bracketry and alignment but they personally went to great lengths to make sure my truck was free of any problems in the development process of an outstanding lift to come for our Dakotas. These guys are great." But now you scumbags have revealed your true colors. You must be a freakin idiot to screw with someone as active on these boards as Knobby. If you would have went about it the right way you could have smelled like roses, but now you smell like sh*t. And another thing, if someone offered me a lift at 20% off and personally installed it to ensure no more bad publicity could be created I would speak good of the company too...its called sponsership...but the truth is that no one else has posted any good things about this company...hmm, thats strange...as far as I'm concerned bigdakota is a working to denounce everything that knobby went through...hell, thats what sponsers are supposed to do...instead, if you want some better publicity on this sight, fix knobby's truck...or we can just keep running truckin suyspensions name in the mud...your choice. While your at it, post some better evidence that the lift's problems have been aleviated. Thats all for now.

Good Day fellow Dakota Owner's,
Well, even though most of you advised against going with a Truckn suspension lift, I did it.
I just finished installing their 6.5 in kit on my 01 Quad Cab. As far as lift kits go it was a typical install. I needed to do a few adjustments to get things to line up, but I have done about 45 lifts on many different makes and none of them just "bolt in". I am very pleased with the kit, my truck is huge. Although I could fit a set of 37's, I am going to put on a set of 35/10.50-16 swamper ssr's.
If any of you are thinking about going with the Truckn lift I would say do it, they are the only ones who do a kit. The 6.5 in kit is more than enough. Now here is the catch, their tech support SUCKS!!!!!!!!!! These guys don't have a clue, but like I said the kit is good. You had better know what you are doing, or I'd say pay some one to do it because there is a lot involved with the install. If any of you have any questions or would like to see pics send me a email to autojosh@earthlink.net

Im sorry but there is no way you could fit a 37 with 6.5 inches of lift without some trimming or custom bumpers.

Actually Frank, I could fit 37's with prerunner fenders. But I got a hellofa deal on a set of 35/12.50 15 swamper ssr's, you are right they would be tight and being that I will be using my truck off road and in the mud I will need all of the tire clearance. As to the bumper, yes I only run the top part of the factory and am having a custom lower with skid plate built.

Drive fast play hard,

I have a 1999 Xtra cab 4X4 and had the Rancho 3" Suspension lift kit put on when it was available in November of 1999. I go through tires like there is no tomorrow. No one can align the truck at all. The tires wear horribly. Is there away to fix this problem before i remove the lift?

Anthony,

Not sure where your tire issues are coming from. I've got a Rancho 3" on my '98. I installed the lift myself and had it aligned professionally as soon as I finished. That was 3 years ago. I've taken it offroading, mudding, and have hit the occasional out-of-nowhere pothols and logs burried in the mud. My first set of tires after the lift lasted beyond 50,000 miles and wore evenly...only had to remove because of tire construction issues (sidewalls cracked when I mounted them on wider wheels). When I had my buckshots put on, I had the alignment checked, and they said it was perfect...hadn't moved over 3 years. My new tires are also wearing evenly.

Not sure what to tell you. My experience with the kits alignment to factory specs has been good. The only thing I can say is to make sure the upper arm drop braket is pressed flat to the fram and then torqued properly. After that, when they align the truck, make sure they adjust the upper arms from the bottom of the drop bracket where Rancho has slotted the holes just like the factory upper mount.

I hope this makes sense, or helps you out. If you're confused about what I said, shoot me an email!

Hey they got a backer for their lift! Very Cool. Hope it all works out for ya. The tech support should tell ya something, like things have not changed. But you are happy and that is all that matters. Also remember you just installed it so it will be fine for now and hopefully forever.

Wheel it hard and have fun!

Chris
