Subject: after body lift overheat

during lift installation might of lost 1/2 gal of coolant messin with the lower hose, installed 1 3/4 tubing for longer lower hose. put back in what i drained from earlier .installed body lift complete
temp gauge pegs when i let her warm up!
possible thermastat stuck? any help would be appriciated! 02 dak 4x4 4.7 auto,3;92 reg cab

Same thing happend with the 5.9 I helped lift on Saturday. The problem was there wasn't enough coolant. Try topping it off again. The T-Stat might have been closed when you tried before. Least that's what we had to do.

Just remember that on the 4.7 you need to bleed the coolant line. Look on top of the engine right where the hose goes to the motor. Should see a cap that takes an allen wrench, says coolant bleed next to it.
