Subject: after body lift overheat IP: Logged
Message: during lift installation might of lost 1/2 gal of coolant messin with the lower hose, installed 1 3/4 tubing for longer lower hose. put back in what i drained from earlier .installed body lift complete
temp gauge pegs when i let her warm up!
possible thermastat stuck? any help would be appriciated! 02 dak 4x4 4.7 auto,3;92 reg cab

Message: Same thing happend with the 5.9 I helped lift on Saturday. The problem was there wasn't enough coolant. Try topping it off again. The T-Stat might have been closed when you tried before. Least that's what we had to do.

Message: Just remember that on the 4.7 you need to bleed the coolant line. Look on top of the engine right where the hose goes to the motor. Should see a cap that takes an allen wrench, says coolant bleed next to it.
