Hi guys!! I just got my PA gap guards. Instructions say remove stock guards?? My 2000 4.7 3" body lift has only one solid piece of plastic on the front that lines the entire wheel well. I don't think they meant for that to come off. Can anybody share how you attached guards. PA folks weren't much help (at least not the ones I spoke with). Thanks!!

I didn't take the front fender well stock guards off and my suggestion is to use an industrial adhesive to attach the gap guards instead of using the drill a hole/push-button set-up they give you or do both. The gap guards don't sit completely flat all the way around and crap gets stuck behind them. I will be taking mine back off and using adhesive after cleaning everything up real good with a good degreaser and paint thinner.

I'd have to agree with both EXTRM & Utoypia Use some adheasive along the top edge to make a nice clean seal then use a rivet gun (if available) to make the secure link. That way you have the best of both worlds.

I have been dealing with PA for the poor fit with the 01 Dakota Quad gap guards. The fronts look terrible. The are proto typing in a week or so and will have new by the end of April (so they say). Any-one have problems with getting thier Gen III PA gap guards??? Any ideas to make these fit better. The front part number is different than the back also Front #6530, back#6617. Originally they told me they sent the wrong fronts but now say these are right...
