Message: If you are thinking of a Truckin lift or had problems with one YOU NEED TO READ!
Well, here I am again. I put a 6.5 in truckin lift on my 01 Quad Cab, the redesigned one, not the origional one with all of the problems, yeah right, after 160 miles I have come to the conclusion It is the same turd of a lift as the one that Knobbyman put on his. My truck is already down, I have had the same problems that Knobby had like allignment problems, poor bracketry which caused my mounting bracket on my 3rd member housing and transmission to brake off. I would hate to see what would have happened if I actually took my truck off road.
ANY QUESTIONS? email me autojosh@earthlink.net

Message: 004x4quadcab, I doubt that the lift kit had caused issues with your overheating unless someone installed it improperly, ie didn't bleed the system properly after extending the rad hose.

Message: Thanks for the reply. I took my truck to the radiator shop and had them rerun all the plumbing so it would be right and it is still over heating, but now it only overheats when i pull a trailer. Should I put an extra pusher fan on the outside of my radiator??? Thanks for the help!!!!!!!!!!

Message: Yeah, I have replaced it not to long ago. I recently read about another Dakota owner having the same exact problems as I am, and he said it was because his serp. belt was worn out and wasnt making the water pump move all of the time. So I think I will try this next. Thanks for the reply.

Message: Check the alignment of the radiator to the fan. The radiatior raises up along with the body if it wasn't relocated after the lift. Another possibility is that the shroud was trimmed improperly and not allowing the fan to work efficiently.
