Hey yall, I own a 97 4x4 Dakota and its my favorite toy. Last night I was at a Static X concert in Des Moines, Iowa, and I was one victim of a joyride in the parking lot. Some @#$% head took his caprice for a hit and run fun time in the parking area. My truck was smashed in the rear, a 2000 mustang was prolly totalled, and others. The cops have the owner of the car in the patrol unit, got his insurance info, and now we have that.
So where do you go from here. The kid lied for about 2 hours about it in the rain...urrgggg....but I want to get out of this mess without paying for anything here. I have all his insurance information from the police report...is that all I need. Do I just get estimates and get it fixed? Or get estimate for all new parts, then get the $ then get it fixed?
I've never had this happen before...can anyone else guide me in the right direction. I love my truck, as you all do too....why the heck did he hafta hit the nice ones???
