Subject: Body Lift Installed!!
IP: Logged

Message:
I just spent the weekend installing a Performance Accessories 2" Body Lift on my '93 4x4 Club Cab. Everything went quite easily, except for the two bolts right behind the front wheels. Living in Michigan didn't help (major rust!) My only question is on relocating the bumpers, how in the world are you supposed to drill new holes in the frame?? Do you mark it, then remove the bumper to drill the holes? Or do you just measure up two inches with the bumpers off and drill the holes? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
I am really liking the lifted look, and can't wait to get some new tires on it!

This is where a few friends would pay off...

Best way would be to have two friends position the bumper exactly how you want it, and a third underneath making marks on the frame rails.

Just try not to drill without doing a test fit...you might not like how it fits. Measure twice, drill once.

Say it with Krylon!

The original holes are just about 2" apart. Match the bottom bolt hole in the bracket with the upper hole on the frame, adjust and tighten. Next mark the hole for the lower bolt using the lower open hole in the bracket! That is what I did on my 95'. Adjust/attach the end brackets once complete. They will reach with no mods. The airdam will be snug on the bottom, but the plastic keepers will go in. Hope this helps.
