i asked this question before but i quess no one felt like replying or had no info, so i will ask again. i would like to go up a size in tires from my stock 265/70/16's but am unsure of what would fit without rubbing, any ideas? please give me advise thankyou.

I believe I read 32x11.50s will fit.

I had 32x11.50s on my truck before I put the lift on it,no rubbing at all but you will have a problem with rubbing if you rims are wider than 7 inches.

then i am still unsure as to what i could fit because i have the 16x8 rims (tire and handling package), what would fit with those with no lift and no rubbing, any ideas?

You can put the 32x11.50s on it you will just have a little rubbing on the front inner plastic of the fenderwell nothing that a little trimming wont solve.Have the dealer test fit one on the truck,most will do this for you so you can see how they fit before you drive off with them.The 31x10.50s will fit without any rubbing at all.Hope this helps,and good luck!

what if someone has a 2wd 2000 dak... n e one know what size i can go up to...
rumor has it a 31-10.5 -15 will rub a bit but can manage with a lil adjustment of front torsion bars...
n e one know?

31" tires rub on my truck at the front, w/ 2" body lift. if i can get the add-a-leafs thatll lift about 2" and i torque up the bars, ill go for 32"s, hoping for 33"s

2wds do not have torsion bars... they use coil springs for lift. Taller spring eguals taller truck! :- )

I've got P275/75/16's on my 2000 4x4 Dakota. Still waiting for a suspension lift to come out for the 2000.

I have 1997 Dodge Dakota Sport4x4 club cab with 31x10.50x15. Stock from the factory. I would like to know the biggest tires I could put on it with out lifting.

I just pu a set of 32x11.50x15 BFG MT km'S on the stock rims on my 97 4x4 and I get rub on inside on the frame. It is only at nearly full wheel crank that it rubs. I Know that others have had no rub with this size tire but the extra nubs on the side of the new KM's is what is rubbing. I think that I will eventually get new rims with more backspacing to fix this, but it really isnt that bad.

I saw a thing a while back on a website that showed a dakota running 33X12.50s with no lift other then cranking the torsion bars and doing some trimming.

I run 33x12.5x15 General's on. Click on my profile to see.
No lift, Custom front bumper and torsion bars raised due to extra bumper weight.

FXF, you have 33x12.5x15 tires on without a lift? You were obviously able to avoid the front tire rub with the new front bumper & torsion bar raising. That front bumper looks nice by the way, how much was it?
Back to the 33's, do they rub anywhere? Do you think I would have a problem if I did the same but put the 33's on the stock 16" rims?

I HAVE A 2000 CC 4X4. I CRANKED THE TORSION BARS 3/4". I WENT WITH 16" X 8" CENTERLINE GALAXY WHEELS, AND P275/70R16 BFG ALL-TERRAIN KO TIRES. THEY ARE A NEW SIZE FROM BFG. 13/16" TALLER AND 1/2" WIDER THAN MY ORGINAL 31 X 10.50 X 15 STOCK TIRES.

Someone had asked about what tires for a 2wd... i have a stock suspension on mine and im running 31x10.5 BFG AT's on 15x8 rims (the ones that came with my dak) i have very very very slight rubbing if i crank my wheel ALL the way over... the only problem youll have like me is the top of the tire will hit the wheel well if you hit a big bump... but in that case you can put in coil spacers or a fabtech 2" lift that will level out your truck and solve your problem (im fixing to put the 2" lift in soon) if you want pics or more info on what the tires look like on the truck or something feel free to email me
