Subject: tightening specs? IP: Logged
Message: what are the torquing specs for the bed and cab bolts for a 99 CC? I just installed a 3 inch body lift and tightened them tight, but had no idea about what the specs were. Please help!
thanks,
brock

Message: 55 lb-ft. Use some threadlock on the bolts. Check for looseness after 500 or so miles. I checked mine at 500 miles and again at about 2500 miles and they were all good.

Message: All bed and body bolts get tightened to 55 lb-ft. It seemed low to me, but it works. Nothing has come loose and there's absolutely no indication that the bed or body are moving around...i.e. no popping, groaning, creaking, or any sense of looseness at all.
