Message: Did you mean 4" vice 4' (inches vice feet)? Assuming you did...I believe a body lift beyond 3" is illegal in all 50 states. This translates to that if you got into an accident and any damages or injuries could be attributed to your homegrown lift, you would be financially liable.
Now, let's assume you are planning this for an off-road only rig...the amount of 'other stuff' you will need to adjust for is lengthy.
-Yes, the shifter linkage
-Yes the X-fer case shifter...and the hole it goes thru, because you will need more room for the throw.
-Both Upper and Lower radiator hoses
-The radiator fan would need to be swapped out with electric fans
-Auto transmission lines may need modified (if auto)
-Manual shift would need clutch input stuff lengthened (if manual)
-Brake lines from master cylinder to where they go to frame need lengthened
-gas filler hose needs lengthened
-Spare tire hoist tube needs relocated
-Bumpers would need new brackets fabricated? (or you could go with big gaping gaps front and rear)
-wiring harness that runs along frame rail to rear would need to be relocated
I'm sure I'm missing some things, but as you can see there are many things you don't think of if you have never done this before. It's called the mushroom effect...anytime you modify one thing, you can expect to modify 3 others in order for your 1st mod to actually work.
As for tires, you did not state what year your rig is or if it is 2WD OR 4WD. Best cases: `96 and older 4x4 33's with some rubbing at the rear of the front wheel opening. `97 to about `05 4x4, maybe 35's with rubbing in the same area. Any newer and I would REALLY be guessing.
