Message: I love the way your truck looks but I have a few questions...first off is what rims are those? It is so hard to find dakota rims. Also, if I was to get a suspension lift would they fit the same? And the last question I have is do you have the 3.55 or 3.92 gears and is your dakota 4x4. Thanks man.

Message: Thanks for the compliment. The wheels are 15x10 eagle alloy 589's. I have a 3" body lift on mine but these wheels will work with a suspension lift. If you do get a lift I would suggest atleast 5" minimum if you want to wheel it. There is no difference on how wheels work with a body lift vs a suspension lift. I have the 3.55 LSD rear and they turn the wheels fine but I am planning on getting some 4.10's if they ever come out. And last, yes it is a 4X4. I hope this helps.

Message: Is there no way to fix that? Also...are your headlights pointed higher now or can you adjust those too? Another thing...since you are 4x4 you already sit 3" higher than my 2wd right. So I would have to be like tallquad and get both body and suspension lifts to fit 33's.

Message: Did you have to hack anywhere on your truck or crank your torsion bars for those tires to fit (on 10" rims)? and if not, do they rub (specifically off road)?

Message: If you want the speed fixed your dealer can recalibrate it for you, I may do that in the near future.
Yes to both, I cranked my bars and cut or trimmed the inner fender plastic about 6-7 inches. My t-bars are cranked 3/4 a turn from max and to be honest and this is the truth I have less popping noises than i did when they were stock. When I get a 3" suspension, if and when it ever comes, I'll just replace the inner fender. I also had to trim the front valance about 2" but you really can hardly tell.

Message: Oh yeah I forgot, theres no way you can wheel with this setup. For 33's on 10" rims to be completely wheelable you need 5" of lift minimum. Thats why I want the 3" suspension to hurry up and come out.

Message: so you are running 33's on these 10 inch wheels? if you had smaller tires, would you have to trim as much? or it affected by width and hight?

Message: it's effected by the 12.5" tire width combined with the 10" rim width. of course, the backspaceing on the AE589's is pretty low so that doesn't help either. there are a few other wheel manufacturers that make rims with less BS that'll aid in less rubbing.

Message: Yes your right Ian it will help with the rubbing on the fenders but then it rubs on the inside of the tire so you tell me which you would rather do, trim a little off of the fender that really isn't even noticeable or risk blowing a tire or messing up the suspension!
