Subject: body lift+torsion bars cranked?? IP: Logged
Message: Hey guys i have a 98 dakota club cab with bigger torsion keys cranked up about 2 or 3 inches and the truck is sitting on 32x11.5 mudd tires and it actally looks pretty good. so the front sits a little higher than the back but its not like rediculous looking just kinda makes it look like i have a few things weighing down the back, which i like that look. my question is can i put a 3 inch body lift on it with it sitting higher in the front? or do i need the truck sitting completely level? i could throw come blocks under it to level it out but i like the aggressive front look

Message: That "aggressive front" look just pisses of oncoming traffic when you have your headlights on.
A body lift will raise the cab and bed without affecting that weak rear spring look that you like.

Message: How about a 2" add-a leaf to level out the truck??Then the body lift would be level,by the way, suspesion connection is running a special on Dakota body lift...$204 for 3" with bumper bracket.

Message: It is not a weak spring look but an off road race truck stance. The 'ass end low look' is a popular look (especially in the western region of the U.S.) derived from the desert race trucks. They have more travel in the front end due to more weight being cycled by the suspension. As for headlights, they can easily be adjusted. Just takes a star tip and the vehicle being parked on a flat surface at night. As with any style, it may not be popular with everyone...i.e. I think stacks in the bed of a diesel are a waste of bed space. But my neighbor likes his. To each his own.
Cheers.
