I used to have a 98 slt w/ the 31 10.5s 4x4 clubcab. I sold it and bought a 02 4x4 quad... why does it seem so much lower not even that but i pulled up to another newer 01+ 4x4 in a lot and the nose was a good 2 inches taller... Did they have differant suspension packages? I just feel super low campared to my old one... kind of leery of lifting it because ive read alot of issues on here. If I did it would prolly only be like a 2" body and maybe a leveling kit w/new keys in the front...
any advice?

Yup - you shouldn't need new keys to level the front- that's more of a Chevy thing. You should be able to just crank up the torsion bars enough to level it - most of us get close to 2" that way.
