Well i finally got around to cutting, shortening and re-welding the brushguard i bought a ways back.I didnt see any front end bumpers that impressed me or that i like so i welded the brushguard to my stock bumper and if i ever get around to making my own bumper i can cut it off and re-use it. Take a look at the pics i took and let me know what you think.....cool? or no. Personally i think it looks pretty good.

It fits the dakota dimensions, but it does seem to block the blinkers. Making it yourself is always more satisfying!

Those look to be some hefty spring packs under the rear. Are they double rolled or single leaf'd at the mounts? I know the factory packs are way to soft (when carrying a load or trailering heavy.

Hey other bill glad to see your still around !!!The picture was taken at a lower angle, it does block some, but not as much as it looks in the picture, naturally when you modify a part that belongs to a different vehicle the person that did the job always thinks it looks cool, the brush-gaurd was off a yukon. The springs i ordered thru National Spring they are less than 2 miles from my house, i didnt want lift blocks on the rear plus my springs couldnt hold my gear so i had them made to carry an extra 1200 pounds, i rarely drive it empty so i wasnt too worried about the springy-ness, but it rides like a cadillac when its fully loaded. double rolled at the mounts. The first set they made for me actually broke at the rear mount after just two desert trips they said i gave them the wrong weight.....Bolony ! I wasnt thrilled with National Spring.
