Subject: 2wd - Tires? IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2000 ext.cab, 2wd w/15x7 rims, stock tires are 235/75; I would like to fit larger, I know 30's are ok, but what about 31/32?(thinking of BFG TA/KO). What concerns should I have about rubbing, lifting(may go for 1" coil spacer sometime),gears, ABS, etc. I've spent quite sometime trying to find other postings to answer this question, but can't (mostly 4x4). So if anyone can direct me to a location or answer the question, it would be greatly appriciated.

Message: I went from the stock tires to 33's so I'm not much help... but 30's will fit stock, 31's should fit fine with 2" coil spacers in the front. My truck was about 2.5" lower in the front when I first bought it, so a 2" spacer would be better than 1" look wise and performance wise.
Anybody know for sure if 32's fit???

Message: I have 31" BFG Muds on a stock 15x8 wheel on my 2000 2wd Dakota and they rub with a 3" suspension lift... but only when they are new. As they wear down the rub goes away and doesn't come back until I get a new set of tires. I haven't trimmed the plastic at all and if I did this would surely get rid of the rub I have. Mine rub worst when backing up and turning ever so slightly.

Message: Thanks for all of your replies. I'll be going w/30x9.5 till those wear out-then go for a lift and something bigger.
