Message: The 3" rancho lift will clear it. If you want to run 10" wide rims you are probably going to need to crank the torsion bars up so you end up with 4" of lift. You could always just go with a body lift and save about a $1000.
Check out one of the pages at my site->

The picture caption tells you the type of lift and tires.

Message: Body & Suspension :-) WHOO HOO!!
33's should fit but you'll have alittle bit of trimming to do for sure.
If you wanted to be safe you could go with the tuffcountry lift.

Message: Hey 4wDakota
Whats that silver Dakota running on your web site. Is that a "3" Rancho? I can't see the "captions" you mentioned on your web site. All I can see are the pictures, even if I click on them it's the same.
Also, I have a question about what you said above? If someone wants to put 15x10 rims on your saying only a "3" in body lift would work? Is that because of the off set rims? How much off set?
thanks, ~Bill~

Message: The captions are when you put the pointer over the picture but don't click. Its ike the tips in winows that tell you what a button does.
The silver Dakota has a 3" rancho suspension and 3" bodylift. Its running 15"x10" rims with 33's
15x10" rims need about 4" of lift. 3" isn't quite enough. If you want 15x10's with a 3" bodylift you'll need to crank your torsion bars an inch and trim the lower inner fender like Tallquad did.
The 15x10" rims typically have more backspacing than the 15x8" rims which makes them closer to stock.
Corey
PS: the silver dak is only running 33's but cranking the torsion bars up from 3" suspension lift to 4" combined with the 3" bodylift will clear 35's

Message: 4wDakota,
Ok..I'm feeling like a dumb a$$ now. Guess, I wasn't allowing the mouse to sit long enough on top of the pictures. Thanks for all the info. I thought you might like to add this dakota to your web page. I found it posted on another board but it was missing from your collection.

Message: Take it from me. If you want to run 33x12.50 tires on your truck on 10" wheels then go with the 5.5 lift. I am running those tires and wheels but only with a 3" body lift, cause that's all thats available for my truck right now. I have rubbing but only in one spot and only at full turn and hit a bump. For daily driving I have no probs whatsoever. As far as going off road you need as much clearance as possible and 3" will not give that to you. The 5.5 should be plenty and if I had a choice I would choose that over a 3" body with a 3" suspension combo.

Message: Hey Quadman,
Thankx for your opinion. The tuff country does seem the way to go right now. I was hoping the 6.5 inch Truckin-Suspension lift would do the job for me but I can't find anyone here in Austin, TX willing to put it on for me. Plus, I'm not sure I want to go through all the crap that Knobbyman is going through. I know he's having problems with the 2000 up kit.
Has anyone tried the 97-99 kit from Truckin that you know of ??

Message: I wouldn't buy naval lint from Trucking suspension after not only doing what they did to Knobby but to DPKerns also. From what he said they never got the alignment right.

Message: Yeah the truckin suspension hasn't even tested the 97-99 kit, last I heard they were looking for a test truck.
I hear you Quadman about the 5.5 tuff country over the rancho and bodylift combo. The Rancho is a great kit though and the tuff country has had mixed results. I'm sure TC has worked out the kinks though.
For me though, money is tight right now and I need tires. (The stock RT/S's are 4 years old and have 50K miles, can you say slicks!) I'm going to step up to 33's and the best way for the money is the body lift. I eventually want to run 35's so the addition of the rancho lift will allow that. But for now I get what I can afford to clear the 33's, MUST HAVE 33's, MUST HAVE 33's, MUST HAVE 33's!
Sorry, got caught in a little trance.
