I have a 2001 Dodge Dakota quad cab 2wd. I want to level the front. what is the best way and cheapest way to do that. 2" will level it.

Hammer some doorstops into the coils of the springs. That should do it.

i would suggest you use coil spacers. Daystar makes the best ones. You can get them on JC Whitney but you need to buy the ones listed under the Ram 1500 2wd. They fit just fine because the coil springs on the Ram are the same Diameter as the dakotas. Get the 1 1/2 inch size listed and you will get about 2 in. out of them. they cost about $40. hope this helps

I have yet to install mine because they are still on the way. Daystar claims that the ride will not change. My guess is that it will differ slightly as with any modification to the stock suspension, but not as much as with other mods. Daystar's spacers are made of polyurethane so they actually 'give' a little bit minimizing the change in the comfort of the ride

hey dakotaowner, just a thought... when you install the spacers you wind up disassembling the better part of the suspension so its a pretty good time to replace the bushings and such if you feel so inclined
