Anyone running this tire size on an 00-04 Dak? I am thinking about this tire size w/ a 3" PA body lift. Any rubbing issues?

Thanks

I didnt have any rubbing when i had just the 3in BL and 286/75/16 Mud Rovers. Each truch is a little differant i the front so you might get som rub on the frame. You could level the truck and get about 1/2 to 1 inch with a TB adjustment.

Yup. Same truck 2002 QC AWD 4.7. I have a 3inch Rancho and 3inch BL. Going to 34 or 35s soon, I have 4.56 gears. I'll tell ya, if you have the ATrans and 3.55 gears, you're going to hate the combo on the highway. It will shift out of OD on a regular basis and a manual you will be down shifting. In town not bad at all. Also, you can move the bumper out about 1/2 to 3/4 inch by enlongating the mounting brackets.

I am running 285/75/16 BFG ATKO's on my '01 QC with 4.7 AWD with reindexed torsion bar keys. You will get various opinions on these keys but I got approx 2" lift in front which leveled out the truck nicely. As far as rubbing, none at all even at full compression in tight radius turn. I did some minor trimming of factory plastic inside the wheel wells as well as the front faring. I should mention that I am running these on factory wheels.

Catfish,

I thought the Rancho lift would not work with the AWD/manual transmissions due to a different trans. crossmember. Did you mod the lift kit in order to get the susp. lift to work?

Thanks!

OOPs I misread your post. A 255 is about a 33X10 inch tire and a 285 about 11.5 tire. You shouldnt have any rubbing with a narrow tire and a stock wheel. I didnt. The Rancho kit wasnt "tested" on a AT trans with AWD. There are a few guys running it with AWD. No mods. I havent had any problems and Ive been running since october last year. A few guys have talked about the Rancho on a MT truck, can't say it has been done. Also heard it isn't manufactured any more for the 00-02.

Got this response from Rancho:

Thank you for your interest in Rancho products. Unfortunately the suspension system will not work with the AWD transfercase because it causes problems with the front drive-shaft.
