Subject: lifts for 4x2's IP: Logged
Message: I have a 01 4.7 2WD auto with the 3.55 gears, does anyone make a suspension lift for this truck? I heard that the fabtech for the 2000 wasn't compatible with my truck. Is that incorrect? Does anyone else make at least a 3" suspension lift for a 2wd? Thanks for any help.

Message: Some friendly advice to hopefully minimize some of the flames you are setting yourself up for. Look around at least a LITTLE before you post that question... There is a ton of info on this subject, including the Tall Quad's Lifted 2WD post right below yours (at the time of your post) And yes, this was easier to type than trying to summarize hundreds of posts on the subject....

Message: I did look around and I could not find an answer for if 3.55 gears were ok...I also couldn't find an answer for if the 2001 was compatible with the 3" fabtech...and I could not find an answer for if there were other companies that make 3" lifts for 2wd dakotas...thus the reason I posted...I always try to search first...Thanks for the help.

Message: Nah... nothing will work on those 2001's, only 2002's. You should probably just leave it stock... ;-) hehe...
No really, Fabtech WILL work on your 01 (mine is 02).
Lots of poeple have 3.55's and run 33's... Hawkeye and plenty of others run that set-up just fine!
