You won't lose any power or mpg at all from the lift, but you will from bigger tires. How much you will lose will depend on how big of a tire you choose. The bigger you go the more you will lose, the only way you can fix this is to get lower gears for the differentials.

I got 32s and 4" suspension lift with 3" body lift and my speedo was off by 5 to 10 miles per hour,i cant remember, also your odometer will be off,and like the Kota Kid said you will lose power until you re-gear your diffs........ or diff if yours is two wheel drive, and yes yer average joe cant do the gears,i am pretty handy and mechanical but i thought it best to have someone who does this for a living do mine. After watching the guy do the job i thought it was a good choice.

I went from the stock 31" tires to 32" tires on my 4x4 auto with 3.55 gears. No crankin' of the torsion bars required.
According to my stopwatch and a GPS device, my speedometer reads 2 MPH less than actual speed.
According to my records, MPG dropped from 21 highway to 19 highway.
According to my butt-dyno, acceleration suffered a bit, and the transmission hunts for gears more.
I want 4.10 gears now.

Most Common Axles For Your Vehicle:

REAR - CHRYSLER 8.25" - 29 SPLINE AXLES
FRONT - CHRYSLER 8" IFS
REAR - CHRYSLER 9.25"
which one is the right one if i have 3.55 gears and want 3.9

4.10 is a very good gear for the 4.7s they seem to like the rpm range they put the motor in, but since you are lifting it and installing taller tires you might want to consider 4.56 ratio. If you do a lot of highway driving then 4.10s would be a better choice, but if you do a lot of city or "stop and go" driving 4.56s would probably be a better choice.

I really think the quality of the install is what counts. Like Moose says, Your trans will hunt with 32s and 3.55 gears. I would say any well known brand will work. I had 3.55 and put in 4.56 with 285/75/16 tire and the rpms are kinda high when towing my boat on the highway since im not in overdrive. But like Kota Kid says, around town 4.56 ok. If i was using no more than a 33, I think I would have went with 4.10s. I getting ready to go to a 34/35 tire. I have a Rancho/BL on a 2002 QC.

Good Luck CC

I just put some 32" Cooper's on my '04 Dak. I do a pretty equal mix of city/highway driving.. For gas mileage purposes, would I be better off with 4.10 gears or 4.56?

Ryan - Richmond will be a better choice. The quality of the gears and the quality of the installation are both important. Good idea to replace the carrier bearings at the same time.

04Dak - 4.10 should be better on gas.
