WHO HAS THE BEST PRICE FOR THE TRAILMASTER 4" SUSPENSION LIFT FOR THE 94 DAKOTA??
DRIVEWIRE.COM ADVERTISES ONE(DD43) FOR $$1337.23 BUT THEY DO NOT HAVE THAT ONE IN STOCK.
BUT IF I NEED ONE RIGHT AWAY THEY DO HAVE ANOTHER SUSPENSION LIFT(DD43SSV) FOR A 1994 DAKOTA FOR $$1951.01!!
AS FAR AS I KNOW TRAILMASTER IS THE ONLY COMPANY THAT MAKES A SUSPENSION LIFT FOR THE 1994??
ANYONE EVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THESE BONEHEADS??I PERSONALLY THINK THEY ARE DISHONEST AND A HUGE RIPOFF....
ANYWAY, LOOKING FOR A GREAT PRICE ON A NEW SUSPENSION LIFT FOR THE 1994 DAKOTA, ANY IDEAS??
THANKS......

Sounds like they are listing "the kit" and then "the kit...with shocks". "SSV" are the Trailmaster type shocks mine came with. $613.78 is a lot of cash for 4 shocks! 3 years ago, when I bought mine from Desert Rat for $1,119.00 as a "garage sale" item (box was open- missing a couple nuts and a bolt) they were typically going for about $1,300. Compare Trailmaster SSV shock prices with other vendors then contact them as a new customer and ask about Trailmaster SSV prices. Maybe you can catch them in their own lie and work a deal...or maybe they'll get p!ssed and hang up...it's worth a shot.

I agree, it's the same kit, difference is the DD43SSV includes the Smart Sensing Valve shocks. Not worth the difference in the price. What they are quoting you is the MSRP for the kit, the street price for the kit with the shocks shouldn't exceed $1500.

And your also correct, Trailmaster is the only suspension kit available for the 91-96 Dakota however they no longer stock the DD43 or any of it's options. It's only fabricated for order fulfillment at this point with an 8-10 week build time. That also applies to replacement parts. I had to order a replacement cross member for mine and had to wait 10 weeks for it.

ruSSrt,

You can either get the same Trailmaster shocks that came with the kit, or if you have a preferred brand you would like to use:

1. Remove a front and rear shock
2. Measure each's fully collapsed lengths
3. Measure each's fully extended lengths
4. Find a replacement shock that matches the recorded measurements in 2 and 3.

*Note: be sure the new shock has the same size/ type mount points as the ones coming off.

good luck!
