Subject: Quick temperary body lift questions IP: Logged
Message: I'm going to be lifting my body on my 2003 4x4 not so i can off road or put on bigger tires, but so i can just have better access to paint the frame. I will be speeding a few weeks preping and painting and i want to do it right.
I'm looking for basic bodylift instructions. What will i have to disconnect for the two weeks and how to do so.
Do i have to remove the bolts around the gas cap or will i have enough slack?
I also need to know how to disconnect the steering shaft.
Any tips or info is appreciated!

Message: Steering shaft should be disconnected. Brake lines on the frame at the rear of the L\F wheel well should be diconnected from frame. Wiring harness on the fire wall behind the motor should be pulled off fire wall in the center,it has push in plastic tabs. Gas filler tube will stretch as long as you are not lifting to high. the fan will hit the lower shroud, you should loosen the shroud. Keep an eye on the radiator hoses. Thats all I can remeber at this time. Hope it helps.
