I have really been wondering if I should lift my truck or not, i figured that a little advice from guys who have done it would be very helpful.
My truck is a 1991 dodge dakota sport, ext. cab, V-8. Ravin performance exhaust(2 4" pipes out the back) , remote start, new black paint, New sound system.
And 31X10.5 tires, it's a big dak, but...well, you know.
I've been looking into the trailmaster 4" suspension lift, then maybe a bit of a body lift, but i have seen verrrry few lifted genII daks, so i have really know idea what it would look like or what kind of pricetag i'd be looking at.
I also wonder why lifted genII daks are so very rare?

Any advise or info you could give me I would really appreciate.

Probably because Trailmaster is the only one that makes a susp lift and it is a little expensive. Body lifts arent that expensive. Dont know why more people dont have them. Not sure on what tire sizes you can fit with each or both lifts. Sorry, know this doesnt help much.

Well, i was told $2668 Canadian, for the 4" trailmaster kit. But they only recommend 31 inch tires, which is funny, because I already have 31X10.5 tires on my dak.

Hi Caleb, I have seen a Gen II Dak With 35x12.50's on it. I will try to find it again on the net but it my take a while. It was black and 4x4 and looked REALLY SWEET! I have a 90' 2wd and and having a rough time trying to get mine into the air. Ive lifted it 5in so far and can barely run 31's! I'd go with the Trailmaster 4in er and get a 2-3 in body lift. Seems like you could run 35's then. But you would have to do some gearing work. Daks are not factory set up for huge tires. You must be careful not to stress your drive shaft or gears. But if I was you, Id go for it. Just take your time and it will get there. good luck and get some picts of it on here when you do something to your Dak.
Have a good one!

I've got a '99 Dak, 2wd, standard cab, short bed. How bad, or good, would it look to put it up 3"? ive always thought that raising a 2wd was kinda dumb, seeing as how the 2wd's tend to get stuck in 3 inches of snow anyways. but i think it would look alright. i just put new 255/70-15 BFG's on, the standard size for the wider tire sport....what do you think?
