Subject: Lift me IP: Logged
Message: I'm new to the world of trucks, (I've been tuning sport compact for some years, mainly VW) and i really just wanna give my winter car(truck) some style.
So i want to give my truck about a 2 inch/affordable lift so i can throw some bigger tires on it.
Affordable ways to jack this up. Its 98 v6 2wd?
any help would be appreciated thank you.

Message: If you're new to trucks; you might want to wait a biy til you get used to some of their idiosyncrasies - for a winter ride with 2WD, you'd be better off with some skinny studded tires.

Message: haha, well it was given to me, so i didn't buy it. I've been using it for the last 2 years, and with a couple sand bags in the back she's fine. This is mostly a cosmetic upgrade.

Message: I guess you've got used to it then, but this change won't just be cosmetic. Not sure what you mean by bigger, but taller tires will hurt your acceleration; and wider will hurt winter traction.

Message: Had no idea you knew that stuff, since you said it would be mostly cometic. Cheapest would be lift blocks in the rear; and spring spacers in the front. Surprised you knew everything else, but didn't know this.

Message: I'm not meaning to insult you or anything, and i do thank you for lookin out for me. I was just getting frusturated. I like to check something out before i go in and try it.
Are there any companies you'd recomend.
The point was the reason for doing it is cosmetic. I know there will be performance changes as well. I'm sorry i didn't make that clear.

Message: I wouldn't worry about the brand, this stuff's pretty basic. No offense taken, just trying to help you out. Good luck with your lift.
