Subject: lower radiator hose and fan IP: Logged
Message: with a 2 inch body lift on a 96 with a V8 a tech note says that you have to change the lower radiator hose and fan...do you know if you can just leave the stock ones and not change it without a problem or do you have to change them?
Thanks

Message: Your fans gonna drop 2" as your body goes up so theres a chance you might have to trim your fan shroud at the bottom,i lifted mine 3" and i am still using the same lower radiator hose.

Message: Instructions must vary by manufacturer. My Perf.Acc. kit (2" on my 95') said to cut out the lower portion of the fan shroud as needed. Bucket is right in that the lower hose is not a clearance problem. My clearance problem was the auto transmission lines. maybe someone has a p/n for some elbows to install at the radiator? I simply "tweeked" them, but if I get twisted pretty good my fan will create a racket on passenger side line (the swedging).
