Subject: PA 3" BL question IP: Logged
Message: I think I am going to be putting the Performance accessories on my 97 Dakota 4x4 here pretty soon. Im 16 and my friends 15. We are both mechanically inclined and my friends installed suspension lifts before. Is this lift going to present a huge problem for us to install? And are we going to need to weld anything. My friend is a proficient welder and we have access to a welder so its not a big deal if it does indeed need welding. Im going to run either 33 11.5's or 34 10.5's. I would also like input on tire size choice if any one has a preference. Well ill keep you updated and maybe post pics when its done. Thanks in advance

Message: It depends on your ability as well as proper tools. I have the same lift on my. when you start remove seats and carpet, then bumpers the lift should come with new bumper bracs. Dick Cepek fun country 2 or BFGood rich AllTerrain Radials. I think they make a suspension lift for your truck.

Message: No need for welding. It's a really easy install. You might run into minor probs but nothing dramatic. I put mine on by myself in about 10 hours. First time I'd done it so I wouldn't worry about it. Theres no need to remove the seats or carpet either.
