Subject: 4x4 linkage extension IP: Logged
Message: Hey all,
I installed my PA 3" body lift on my 2000 4x4 Quad Cab last week and I was just wondering how much of the 3" extension others have used when extending their 4x4 linkage. I went the route of using all-thread and coupler nuts but I only needed to extend my linkage by about 1/2". Is this normal? How much have others who installed the PA 3" body lift needed to extend. Other than that, I love the looks, got some 33"x10.50x15's on yesterday (BFG Mud-Terrains) with no rubbing probs. Also, my sterring wheel seems to be slightly off to the right now with a slight pull. Don't know why.

Message: Hey be happy that worked out for you. I realized that I only needed about 1/2" too but had a little bigger piece welded on just in case but now I can't get it out of 4 hi. Goes in just fine but my linkage twists really bad trying to get out of 4hi and evenually will pop out. 4lo nuetral and 2hi I can shift through fine though.

Message: Maybe the tires were incorrectly balanced, or maybe your truck is out of alignment and putting bigger tires on it made it worse. Just a thought
