Message: -Both lifts (4" susp & 2" body)
-installed the fenders
-trimmed off the sharp edge left exposed at the
bottom of the cab
-tweeked the torsion bars (just a bit)
I could add a leaf to the rear and get some more out of the torsion bars. Just haven't taken the time.
The fenders stick out a good 4 inches wider than your stockers, the opening is an easy 3 inches higher, and most importantly the rear of the opening is back about an inch-and-a-half. That is where all the rubbing occurs on the stock fenders. It is hard to see in the photos. They are a very thick fiberglass as these guys build fenders for desert racing, not just cruizing downtown. Their quality and fit is unmatched. When I took them to the body shop to get color matched, the guy couldn't believe the thickness and quality of resin finish! He said when someone comes in wanting a typical ground effects kit painted, he basically has a "shape" to start with. That they need to build them up because they are so flimsay. These fenders, all he did was scuff them up and shoot them.
Special note: Any body ordering from Glassworks, use a Business address for a delivery point if possible. Both the guys at Glassworks and I learned (after the fact) that the shipping company charges an addional fee to deliver to a residential address vice a business. Don't know why, just their policy. Had I known this in advance, I would have had them shipped to a friends repair shop and saved on the extra shipping.
Hope this helps.
