alright i have an 03 quad cab with a 3 inch body lift. its tall but i want taller. i know you can crank up the torsion bars to get the front end higher. heres my dellema i have a add aleaf in my room (2-1/2 inches). is there anything i can do to lift the front cause there is no way im gonna be able to lift the front with the torson bars and get 3-1/2 inches to even out my truck. I WAS THINKING IF I PUT SOME STIFF SHOCKS ON WOULD THAT WORK. THANX

Shocks don't have any effect on ride height. The torsion bars do though. 2" is the max for them or you will hit the bumpstops.

I have the same dilemma you do. 03-04 Dakotas don't have many lift options. Bodylift and torsion crank are the only options out now. There is a 3" Rancho lift for 02's but for us to run that you will need to swap a few 02 parts.

I have the 2" torsion and 2" blocks, that's going to have to do for now. I don't like bodylifts either, I am not comfortable knowing the body is 3"s above the frame....good luck.

Hey 8Banger,

I'm with you; I have a 2002 QC and I'm a bit hestitant lately on the body lift thing. But I was to fit 32" BFG AT's as well as even out the front end. Will the spacers and tightening the TB's do this? Is that all you did and what size tires you running??

I have 265/75/16s which are approx. 32"X10.50". They fit with no problems and no rubbing at all. I have the 2" torsion lift and 2" blocks in the rear. Here are some pics:
