OK first off i am tired of waiting for a "reputable suspension lift" to be "invented" for my dakota. I have an 01 cc with 4.7 4x4 with 3" PA lift and 15x10 eagle alloys with 33x12.50 on it. I need more lift and i want to run atleast 37x13.50's. If i got the rancho 3" and lifted the rear 4" the max i could run would be "with lots of fender trimmen and no wheel travel" a wide 35" tire or a skinny 36" by wide i mean 14-15.50 and skinny 12.50 i dont like tires that are tall and skinny, i want tall and wide "just proportional"
Now for the question. if i put the crappy truckin 4.5" lift on and added to it two in. blocks in the back would i be able to run 37's.
Yes my tbars are maxed and no i cant afford a solid axle. Does anyone have a truck with a truckin lift on it if so please email me or post. Thanks and sorry for the long post.

I hear you, I mean I have a 97' and there is the 5.5" TC but my god who wants to pay 1700 bucks? Then you have to pay 700 for install. when the lift right above it is 350$ for a 4" made for a ram. i am just hoping someday the dak/durango lifts will fall in price.
i just refuse to pay that much for a lift, you may as well pay 2-5 Gs for a solid axle swap and get your money's worth.

sorry about that last # i gave you the picture i was looking at Said 5.5". And heres another one i found , never heard of them before so i dont know how good they are, but its a 10" suspension lift made by Whiplash. Get ahold of them at 866-947-5274 0r www.whiplashperformance.org. the article doesnt specify what years it is for just says dakota.

Usually when I read about Whiplash, the words "Junk", "Crap", "POS" or one of a few other colorful words are in the same sentence. They have a very bad reputation on many of the forums I participate in. Just search this forum and you'll find a lot of negative comments about them.

Yes i have 456's already my god the best mod i have ever done. I really dont want to get the truckin lift, but as long as all the suspension componets fit without binding i can fab up brackets, etc. to beef them up. i just want to know if anyone has any pics of a dak on 37's (2000 and up) i need some pics of the lift if possible. thanks

So since i cant afford a solid axle, i am a street queen that doesnt off road. Yeah that makes lots of sense. Do me a favor if you cant post comments that will help me with what i ask for please dont make dumb comments about people you know nothing about.

Com'on ID...you don't know if this guy is a street queen or not. Maybe he is a frikken mechanic who knows how to modify a junkie lift to make it extremely off road capable. Even though i agree that the whiplash is junk, if this guy wants to get it leave him alone. There is no need to show negativity towards him...just my 2 cents

Just for record if no one on here has this lift and aim wont respond to my emails i will not get a lift from truckin. i just wanted to explore my options thouroghly. i do offroad alot, i live in south ms so there is no rocks, just lots of mud. i need larger tires to get thruogh the ruts around here. larger tires = more ground clearance thats why i need larger tires. also if anyone has a front drive shaft for a 2001 an up dakota let me know i broke mine while being a "street queen" following my friend in his k5 blazer on 39's but what would i know ive got a street queen

yeah you do have the same truck, just becuase it has diffent mods doesn't mean it is a different truck, it's still a dodge dakota. As for the spelling, welcome to the internet mo-mo. I don't take the time to check what i write and most people who have a life don't either.

More ground clearance duh!!! What is your deal, He asks a simple question about a lift which (it does suck, really bad) ain't good. You both have the same truck no matter what mods are on it.
oh and one more thing ID form over function mmmm that don't sound right, let's see form would be how it is all put together and how it looks right and function means how it works. So your saying that looking better is better than how the suspension works, Wow you're really smart, Get a life and leave this forumn alone.
By the way Justin stick with what you have right now, truckin suspension ain't worth it, A solid axle can be cheap if you really shop around, Ask other enthusiests about your project and they may or may not have answers. Possibly ask a farmer to help with welding and stuff, (If your in an area like that) I've seen very well built solid axle trucks done for like 1,500 complete minus tires of course, But that with like an 8 inch lift.
