I'm interested in lifting my '91, and my research has lead me to believe the only real way to do this is by a front axle swap and leaf springs. Fine. What should I consider before doing this? Any issues or has your swap worked out fine? I'm planning to have a suspension shop in Colorado Springs do the work. My understanding is that they know what they are doing.

Any info you can give would be helpful

Peace.

forget the springs, unless you're on a budget.

If money isn't a prob, put on coilovers instead. Fox makes some good ones, as well as SwayAway.

You can find them here. Putting on coilovers will give you much better ride and 4-wheelin capabilities. However, if you still on planning to haul alot of weight in your truck...stick with leafs in the rear.

Also, if you're in the Colorado area, and i noticed you said you're having a shop in the springs do it......

Go onto www.colorado4x4.org and send 'RockcrawlingTJ a.k.a. Justin' a private message. He can prolly do the work for ya cheaper then the shop and just as good of a job. Also, 'Orthus' on that board can also do the work. He's the one that's going to help do mine soon.

2Loud-

My plan was to have Tanner 4 Wheel Drive do the work. Have you heard of them or seen their work? I will email Justin to get his take on my situation.
Would be nice to get the work done cheaper. I don't really know exactly what I want or need. I'm new to this 4 wheelin' thing. Just need mods to my vehicle to get my arse to BAJA to chase surf! Don't wanna get stuck, ya know.
Thanks for your advise.

Peace.
