Subject: Which tire is better? IP: Logged
Message: I am looking into buying new tires. I can't choose between mud king tires or pro comp mud tires. If anyone has ran both of these tires, let me know what you think is better between the to. Thanks

Message: have not run the mud king tires, but the pro comps i did. Was unhappy with them. They have a soft rubber compound and the tires only lasted about a year (about 25k miles, if that)

Message: Either choice is inappropriate if you want long highway tread life. Their compounds are softer than normal road tires, and as 2LoudDodge found out, they die a relatively fast death. What tread life you get is typically determined by your driving style and maintaining correct tire pressure.

Message: Have had both on my Wrangler. Mud Kings were far superior and i mean far...much tougher, lasted longer and did better both on and off road.
