Tuff Country already has a 5.5" kit out. Rough Counbtry is supposedly coming out with a 6" kit. I'd like to see what they put out myself.
How deep can that pond possibly be?

i JUST called rough country and the guy said theyve completely dropped it because "the market for the kit isnt there, theres no demand." WTF i was waiting for this lift for a long time. im pissed

S H I T! same here! gosh dangit i heard RC lift was going to be around 900...instead i'll have to pay 1300 for the stupid TC lift! i just don't want to pay that much!

I'm all set for lifting my dakota, I got an old truck to beat on. But what you guys should do is set up a group buy and maybe rough country will run a few units out the door for you guys.
How deep can that pond possibly be?

Rough country was what I was refering to. That is really bad news. I hate to say it, but I am fed up with no lifts over 3". I have been loyal to Dakota's for 5 years now and can't take much more.

Good News boys, I called Rough Country today and yes the lift is still in R&d. I will be giving them a call back the beginning of the year to see what's going on.. Hopefully shortly we will have something concrete to work with. Hell if they want too, I will drive out from michigan and let them install it, and beat the sh!t out of it for them. I would love to R&D it for em.. But only time will tell. But it's still going to be made. Don't lose faith boys. Rough country is coming to the rescue.

you would think they would start pumping more out
Petersons off road wrote in one mag that the dakota has been ignored too much, the combined size and power and some dakotas getting older we should be seeing many more of them on the trail
lets hope the boys and RC read 4wheel off road

I read that article from petersons and agree greatly with that their are starting to become an awsome trail vehicle, but what bothers me is they stated that the V8 dakota didn't come out until the third gen dak, wtf? I was intrigued to write a letter but haven't heard anything from them since.

Yeah did anyone call back rough country and see about the new lift if its out yet. Hey are we talking suspension lifts because I went to their site and only found Sus Lifts for the Rams WTF. I did however find a body lift for the Daks but don't body lifts mess up your truck???????

I called them the other day, said no new info, didnt know anything about pricing or release. They guy did say that the head engineer's wife drives a Durango so expect something good, that he was working on it. I believe he said it was a raised knuckle lift? i think.

Have any of you guys tried to find someone to custom fab. a lift? I took my dak to fabricator and got 4" and goodtravel. I like it alot better than any kit.
