Message: Sorry Didn't see the other "Craig". I’ve been reading and searching a lot of the postings. I could really use some help. I almost had BL put on at a local 4x4 shop but, got scared because of the posts. Rather than restate some posts, here is my question. I have a 2002 QC with the tire and wheel pkg 265/70/16 GY Wranglers. I can get a set of Dunlop Mud Rover 315/75/16 at cost. The guy said they are 34.5 tall depending on the rim pull?? Since the stock tires are 30.6 it would seem that 3in BL would clear. Thoughts please.

Message: 315/75/16 is pretty much a 35X12.50.
You will not fit that without major trimming. The problem you are going find is in the width as well. A 12.50" wide tire is going to rub even if you did a 20" body lift. Remember you are only raising the body, the frame stays put. The maximum width you can run is 11.50" and it still might rub a little.

Message: I just read and saw pics of a guy with 305/70/16 on a 2WD with 3" BL and 1.5" coil spacers. If you have a 4WD then you could crank the torsion bars to get the 1.5" extra lift in the front.

Message: the biggest you can go is 305/70/16 which is 33x12.5. I have 285/75/16 with a BL and did minor trimming

Message: OK. Let’s see if this makes any sense. I want height and don’t particularly like a huge tire hanging out of the flairs. I can get 33 or 34 in a 10.5 width. Do you think it would not rub with a 3 inch lift?
Also for those that have taller tires did you lose your overdrive?

Message: a 33 or 34 with a 10.5 inch width shouldn't rub, but you still may need to trim a very small piece of the front bumper. You'd probably only need to trim part of the black wheelwell liner, and not the actual painted part of the bumper.
You could probably fit those 35x12.5's with a t-bar crank, the same amount of trimming AND a set of rims that have a backspacing of about 4.5 inches. It's the backspacing/offset of the factory rims that is really causing the problem with the width.

Message: I've got a 2000 4X4 Quad with stock 31x10.5-15LT Wrangler tires on stock 15 x whatever wheels. I'm considering a larger tire and/or a better off road tire than the Wrangler RT/S. Can I go to a 32x11.5 BFG AT without going with bigger wheels, lift kits, etc? If not, does anyone make a 32 X 10.5?
Thanks.

Message: Should be able to. I dont know if there's any difference with the quad cab but I just cranked my T-Bars about 1.5" and I fit the 32X11.50's no problem. Hope this helps.
