Subject: 31-12.50on 10's can I run 32-11.50 on 8 IP: Logged
Message: subject sums it up. I have presently a 2000 dodge dakota 2wd with 1.5 inch spacers and some carful trimming and grinding and I run 31-12.50 exterrains on 15x10 weld racing rims.
I have found that 31-12.50 tires are expensive and hard to come by in a style and price I want to pay. I find 32-11.50's to be much cheaper.
Can I get away with 32-11.50's on my truck? they will most likly be an all terrain or possibly a mud but nothing to crazy. I've heard its harder to fit the width then the height so could I keep my 15x10's or would I have to go to 15x8's?
my rims are 3.63 back spaced if that helps.
just looking for general opinions

Message: i would guess the extra inch of height combined with 2" less backspacing would cause the tire to slightly rub the front valance when turning, which would only require minor trimming...but the height would not effect frame rubbing near as much as the width.
my personal opinion would be to try it...i think it would work with a little valance trim
