Subject: 3" PA Lift help IP: Logged
Message: Hi peeps. I have a 2000 Dak, QC 4x4, that I am thinking of putting a body lift on to clear my 33's. But I've never done a body lift (although very mechanically inclined) so I want to know what I'm getting into before buying one. The best seems to be the PA 3". For those of you who have done it yourself, does this kit include everything or will I need additional parts? Is it pretty much bolt in or is there any fab work to do? Etc? Thanks. Oh, and how long did it take you?

Message: I'm 22 years old i was 20 when i bought my body lift. I have a 2002 QC 4X4 and it included everything in it except for the radiator hose didn't fit right i ended up going to autozone and buying one from like a 72 chevy pickup that fit perfect. I tried a few hoses before i found the right one. But other than that it took me one whole day from 10 am to about 8pm and it did clear for 33's although there is slight rubbing on the back of the front tires but yo ucan just trim the rubber off a bit and the rubbing stops. It's very little rubbing on sharp turns when going up like a curb or something. I have been looking into putting a 1 or 2" lift block to stop the rubbing instead of cutting the rubber. For now the rubbing hasn't bothered me. If you have any questions feel free to email me to jsanz11@hotmail.com or i'll just post here if i see any other respones.

Message: Sweet, I bought it last night, but I won't get it until next week. What width 33's did you put on? Right now I have 33x9.5's, which just barely rub in the front, thus the need for the lift. I like them, but when they need replacing I was going to do 33x10.5's because they are a better fit for the rims. Thanks for the info.
P.S., anyone that has messed with the torsion bars, is the passenger side supposed to be lower or is this just wear? I went to try those first, but rather than using them to lift I had to use them to level because the passenger side was 1/2" lower to begin with than the drivers side.
Thanks again.

Message: Well, I got the kit, so far I was going to install it tomorrow, but I still am not completely sure. Now after reading through all the warnings, I'm a little paranoid about changes in how it handles. I knew it would change it some, but is it really that noticable? Those of you who've installed this kit, is it still as comfortable to drive? Thanks again.

Message: I've got the PA 3" kit installed and I haven't noticed any difference in the way the truck feels or drives.
Just do the install, you won't regret it.

Message: That's wierd I thought my truck was just odd with the passenger side running a little lower.
I got the BL for my 2000 CC and I plan on putting it on this weekend. Good Luck...How do the 33X9.5's look anyways? Height would be nice but isn't 9.5 kinda slim?

For what year do you need the steering extension pic. I have a pic of the "upto 2003" model and the 2004 piece. Yes they are different. I'm switching out the older one for the newer one on my 2004 QC tomorrow or Sunday. PA did not have a kit for the 2004 when I put mine on. Most everything is/was the same except for the spare tire crank adjustment and a few other minor parts. Except for the steering extension. They are different lengths. So I figured I'd put the "right one" on just in case. Although I've have no problems for several thousands of miles.
