Subject: BFG AT KO 305/70/16's on 2WD? IP: Logged
Message: I wanna run BFG 305's on my 2004 2WD Quad Cab. I have a 3" body lift and Dodge Ram coil spacers in front. I have American Racing Baja wheels, 16x8 w/ 4.5 backspace and 0 offset. Can I run these by trimming the back of the wheel wells and the lower corner of the bumper valance? Seems additional lift wont help much, its the narrow wheel wells that seem to be the problem in the front.

Message: I doubt it. I'm running 285/75/16 (33x11.5)on those exact rims on a 4x4 with a 3" body lift and I had to trim. I think the biggest you can go is 31"

Message: Nice truck. What all did you trim and do your tires rub on your frame at all?

Message: I had to trim the front bumper, on the inside lower corner, I trimmed the fender flares and the back of the front wheel wells. Minor rubbing on the wells, only at full lock, no rub on frame at all, with the Baja's, they're 4.5" BS so wheel and tires are out 1" more than stock rims.
