Message: i have an 01 cc 4.7 4x4 with 3" bl and 15x10's and 33x12.50 thornbirds, and i hope you have a good assortment of cutting tools because mine rub bad, but if you go with a 15x8 or 16x8 you shouldnt have to trim as much, but either way you will have to trim to get them to fit..period but it is well worth it, and if you take your time from 5 feet away you cant even tell you did any trimming mine looks awesome if you want some pics email me at deer_killer1@msn.com

Message: i just put a 3"bl and i cranked the torsion bars and put 2" bdl blocks on my back axle, i had bought 33 11.50 r16 thornbirds , but then i heard to many cop;aints about then and that they were terrible in the mud,, and i couldnt have that, so i bought 305/70/16 (33/12.50/16) pro comp xterrains, there is a little rub but on the frame but you can only feel it at full turn,,,,,01 qc 4x4

Message: why are you guys buying thornbirds, they are horrible in all conditions and ride like crap.
There are MUCH better tires out there.

Message: I agree with action j they are terrible, that only do one thing and that I look cool, I had some on my 1979 Ford and they about kill you, they wear uneven and wonder all over the road. I have had BFG AT and X Terrains and they both seem to impress me. Swampers are only good for mud trucks in my opinion.

Message: go to www.dakotaskustoms.com look at the dak. watch the videos, drink a beer, watch the vidoes again, retract earliear post and drink another beer.
personally my thronbirds ride very smooth, dont wander at all, they are a bit loud, but thats no prob. they do very well off road for my application, and with the lockers for the rear i dont even need to use 4wd
sorry everybody else has bad luck wit em.
i will agree that there are much better tires out there like boggers for the mud, bdg kdw for the street, but they perform well both on and off road for me
