Message: hey, i was wondering this the other day. why don't aftermarket companies make cheaper susp. lifts for the dodge dakota? all i have found are lifts for over$1300. like the tuff country and rancho and chassis tech. are there any others that make cheap suspension lifts or will i have to get a 3 inch body lift.? i want to fit 33s on my 98 dodge std. cab 4x4, so what should i do? if i got the body lift should i crank the torsion bars? could i also get some rear add-a-leafs? or should i get a front leveling kit? please help! thanks
Message: I've read where people just go with the 3" BL and crank the Torsion bars and have 33's...kinda wondering if I want to do that but for now I think i'll just go with 32's...easier on the engine.
Message: The Trailmaster kit fits 91-96 (can be adapted to a Gen I with some work) and will run you between $1300 & $1800 depending on where you buy it. 6-10 week build time because it’s not a stocked kit. Still requires additional parts like new rims for the install. And as far as the quality, if you plan on wheeling the truck, you're better off looking into a straight axle swap instead.
Do a search here for "TrailMaster DD43" and you’ll find a bunch of threads about it.
