I got a 3 inch body lift and some new 32.5x11.5 and they rub on the fenders so the best you can hope for is 31 without 3 body and 4 suspension lift

i agree with bucket, i'm running 31x10.5 15's on stock 15x7 rims and i have no problems with clearance. but a 2" leveling kit would really make it look mean.

If you guys spend less time worring like a bunch of old women and put on what YOU want and not what everyone else says, you'll have more fun.
I have a 1994 3.9 4X4 with 35X12.5X15 on 8" chrome rims and they rub at full lock, but so did 32s. I have a 3in BL and I put the air gun on the T bars till it stoped!. Been that way over 3 years & over 100,000 miles and it loves the mud.
Be your own person! or do you ask your friends how to satisfy your woman too. Think about it...

If you're asking about what you can run stock with no mods, lifts, cranking etc. I understand Gen l and Gen ll can only completely clear 30x9.50's. They should look okay depending on the brand, not all tires actually measure up to their size. My 88 looked 10x's better with Bridgestone Duller 235x75's than with Firestone Wilderness AT 235x75's. The 30x9.50s should give you about a 1/2" more ground clearance and just a hair more width than your stock 235x75's.

OK Walt, I hear ya. So I opened a page at Dodge Truck World to ease your mind and anyone elses.
My truck is no street queen, we hammer a lot of the old logging roads up here in NW WA on a regular bases. I would have posted pics sooner, but was hoping to have her painted first.

I’m running 33x13.50 Baja Claws of 15x10 rims w/ 3” backspace with a 3” body lift / 4” suspension lift / cranked torsion bars and I’m tearing up a set of Bushwacker flares in the front.
You got 35’s on there but you got to be rubbing something fierce. Doesn’t look like you have any room for any upward suspension travel.
Did you trim the back of the wheel well a hair? The shape looks a little odd, but it could just be the angle of the photo.

The bottom front of front fenders is jacked out 1&1/2" over stock. The back bottom corner is trimmed back with angle of wheel opening almost 2". The rear goes up and down fine, no rubbing. The LAW, made me put on wheel flares and mudflaps so everynow and then on a hard turn/bounce I'll hit the rubber flare. (J.C.Whitney.$69.65)

In WA state the law is really strict about tires sticking out of wheel wells. First offence, $100. and it doubles with every ticket.
I droped my rear bumper down as far as it would go, to comply with "bumper height"

I am familar with the bumper law - had that in Indiana. I was not familar with the tire law. I wonder what the reason for that is?

Yea, a lot of states do that. The tire can’t stick out further than the body and if it does, you have to put flares on. Some also require mud flaps on lifted trucks.
Spot, I thought so, it looked like you had some trimming there. I’m planning on doing it a tad differently in the front when I do my solid axle swap. I was thinking of leaving the rear edge of the wheel well as is but cutting off every thing below the head light bezel at the front of the well. Then mounting the axle 2-3 inches further forward. Same goes with the rear, I want to move the rear back 2-3 inches as well and trim the back of the rear wheel wells a few inches.

I had to trim the front side and the backside of my front wheel wells a fair amount so i ordered those rubber flexable flairs and only put them on the front wheel wells,with 3.5 backspacing the tires stuck out quit a bit.also Walt i used the part numbers you e-mailed me and it was one dead end after another so i called Truckperformance.com and talked to a guy named Matt and he did all the work and ordered my dual shock brackets front and rear and the steering stabalizer,the skid plate is discontinued so i will make one,but hella thanks again for the part numbers you provided. I have a friend with a Hot Rod Fab shop and he is going to raise my stock wheel openings about 3".
Draw a line front to back just over stock body flair and straight down just infront and behind stock body flair. Cut straight across stock boby crease and reweld wheel opening. He has done that for some low riders so they can turn the wheels.
Won't be till next winter, having too much fun now.

Only lift available for gen2 Dakotas is a 4in by Trailmaster. It costs a little over $1400. Or you could do a body lift for around $200.

got a 97 dodge lifted 3" on 33, 12.50 tsl, rubs a lil when i crank it all the way. i want to get more lift, so i can fit 35"s with out a ton of rubbing would the 3"in body lift work?

33x11.50 swampers on it and they
actually fit under it stock and had
no rubbing at all, i just bought some
35x12.50 is there a way tbey will fit
without a lift at all?
