is there any company out there that sells locking hubs for out DAK? I cant seem to find a vendor who does.

Im tired of being in 4wd, but using only 2 wheels, one front and one rear to push me through.

Thanks,

Your hubs are already locked. The problem you describe is caused by the differentials. Unless you buy a locker diff, you will always have this issue. Some lockers cannot be use on-road though. Most of the time, driving habits overcomes this issue.

We cant use manual hubs with our center disconnect system. Wouldnt help drive the tires any better anyway. Only thing we can do is have a good LSD or locker in the rear diff and hope that ARB will make a air locker for our front diff's. My factory LSD is one of the best LSD units I have ever used. I have good solid 3wd right now.

Your original post was in regards to slippage on one of your front tires. Just so you know... a solid front axle has nothing to do with that. Locking/unlocking hubs will also have nothing to do with that. You will need a locking diff of some sort to address your issue.

I realize that, but im not about to spend the money of locking the front and rear when i have some big plans this winter of changing over to Dana 44's front and rear. No sence in spending all that money on a diff. locker when i wont be able to use it when i do the swap. If i could throw a set of lockers on the front.. i would do that...and not worry about if i could use them again..as there not the 600 os so bucks for teh ARB locker... I was just looking for a quick solution for the mean time.

Gotcha. Just wanted to help out... in case you were going to the solid axle because you thought that was the only option...

I agree the hot set up swould be to combine the locker with lock/unlock hubs - still, this outfit seems to think it works in the front end of the Dakota.

If you run accross those locking hubs let me know. I've been looking for a couple of years now.
