I went with cross-drilled brake rotors awhile ago, and have been pleased ever since. Even after installing 33" BFGs.

I keep a spare set of u-joints, brake pads, 1 container of every fluid, and a 151-piece tool set in the extended cab. If it goes, I'll fix it on the side of the road. So far, haven't had too much of a problem with my 33's and brakes.
How deep can that pond possibly be?
