Subject: Gen II Body lift ?? IP: Logged
Message: I just received a Performance Accessories 2 “ body lift for my 4 wd ‘94 ext cab dak today. Looking through the box I noticed that it did not have an extender for the steering column. The directions are a bit vague and do not mention one; there is no packing list. Does anyone know if I need one for the lift? A lot of the Gen III, 3 “ guys talk about it, which has me worried. I just hate find out I need one half way through the lift. I tried to find the answer in the old post but had no luck. Thanks for your time.

Message: You dont need it just the shift linkage extender. The steering shaft slides out and it works just fine. Just have fun lifting the bumpers!

Message: Yeah I have a 94 Dakota ext cab 2 wheel drive. I put the 2 inch performance accessories body lift on it. The transmissino linkage is hard to get off, and twice as hard to get back on...I ended up cutting the rubber "bushing" that slides into the hole for it...I had to soder a washer on it to get it back on heh. I haven't lifted my bumpers up yet...any tips on that? Also when I back up and turn all the way to a side I here a slight grinding sound but I dont think anything is rubbing, ever heard of that? Any help is appreciated.
thanks
