I have a 1999 Dakota CC 4x4 and I am about to put a 2 inch body lift on it but the only problem that I can see is I have a crome Brush Gaurd on it that mount to the frame above and below the front bumber. I there anything I can do to raise the front bumber and still get the gaurd to fit?

Yes. i have a 3 inch lift and a grille gaurd. however it took some modifying...you'll have to do some cutting and welding. took me about 30 minutes but the look is awesome. as far as i know i have the only body lifted dakota with this type of full grille and brush gaurd on.

So dude did you have to actually cut the brush gaurd or did you like make spacers for where it bolts to the frame on the top side of the bumper. I think I can figure out how to do the bottom side. I think my truck will be the only one in my town too.

well get your body lift on then see what the ajustments are...anyway no i did not cut the actual gaurd just the brackets, i cut them in half and flipped them upside down and they welded right to the frame and worked PERFECTLY...it was awesome. then the brackets that go right above the front bumper are raised and in the exact same location so no modification will be needed there.
