Message: Blew up my front diff today. Literaly!! Trying to climb a snowy trail. Lost traction then got it right back on the other side and BAM .Blew up the front diff. Got my pinion gear with the slip yoke of the driveshaft intact in the bed of my truck. Along with some pieces of the case. Time to look into striaght axls now.
Message: Yeah, time for straight axles is right. I'm just waiting for my pinion to grenade itself out of the differential so I have an excuse to do a solid axle swap too. I think a purple v6 with f250 axles would look sexy.
Message: Walt. Havent been able to get there yet. My wife has been sick so that means no free time for me. Contacted your buddy about the diff. He gave me a price thats not bad but havent heard from him since thursday. He's probably busy too. Kristie is all set with me spendin the money for the straight axl so I think I'm just gonna fix it for now. I want Mike to make me some upper and lower control arms w/2" of lift and strong enough to mount some coilovers to. Then put some shock hoops and get rid of the torsion bars. That way if it happens again I'll be half way there on the straight axl. But time will tell. He's not 100% sure about making them with the 2" that I want. I'm just waiting for my work truck to get back from having the utility box installed then i'll bring him my truck so he can investigate.
Message: Have not seen pics about the trip, but I wish I could have gone. What/where is paragon? Is it a park? I was looking into scheduling a trip to rausch creek with my buddies this summer.
Message: Paragon is a big off-road park located in central PA. http://www.paragonap.com
A bunch of guys on Dodge Truck World are trying to get a trip together to Paragon over Memorial Day weekend. They’ve extended an open invitation to anyone who would like to go regardless of what brand they drive.
