Massachusetts only allows 2" of lift height, and shackles are illegal????

Guess that rules out the Truckin Suspension lift? Even though they sell it in Mass. Anyone from Mass know different?

Thanks,

I'd go to a local police station.. Those laws seem odd. Guess what.. you have shackles on your truck anyway.. I think all trucks do from the factory.. You have hangers & shackles.. does that make your truck illegal from the factory?

AHH I mis-understood... To lift your vehicle using shackles.. not you can't use them at all. Ok .. Nevermind.

Still check with the local police station

Yeah - I have seen plenty of trucks around that are a lot higher than 2" from stock. But it just doesn't surprise me that this state would pass such B.S.

I think you'd have to be pulled over for something else before a cop would decide to nab you for the height. Also, it's porobably a good idea to know your inspection station (or of one that isn't as strict) before geting a sticker.

i have never heard of or read about somone issued a sitation for haveing a truck too high, there is a guy who lives in my grandmothers neighborhood with a old for pickup and old for bronco, each has a bout 12 in of suspension lift and 3 body with about 50 in tires, so if there were problems it would have been stated in the local newspaper under the police reports and sitation section

I have heard that Oregon has put into place restrictions on lifting too. I live in Fla but I also watch the news... Wow...
I think it all has to do with safety. I also think it is a bunch of crap though. There are plenty of raggaly ass vehicals out there that shouldnt be on the road. Or old people that cant see past their nose, or road rage people, or DUI people. Why pick on us regular ole lifted people. Isnt that inpeeding on our personal rights? My vehical, my money, my business.
One message for the govt, "STAY THE HELL OUTA MY TRUCK BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!"
