hello, i currently bought a 3" body lift for my 2004 quad cab made by PA, for now i am going to keep the stock 16" wheels, my question is what size tire should i run? i know its been asked millions of times, but i am thinking of running 285/75/16s on them, any suggestions, pros or cons? any thing would be greatly appreciated, my truck has the 3.55 gears also, would that be a little harsh for it, it is the 4.7 automatic, and also what upgrades should i do, please help guys!!!!!!!!!

285/75 is 32.99x11.6? if that is right you should be clear as long as you crank your torsion bars.

3.55 are gonna hurt ya on the highway. youre gonna want to swap them for 3.92s or 4.10s. plus youre going to have to get your speedometer recalibrated at the dealer or buy superchips programmer that will do the same plus give you more power

I've got 33x12.5x16 TrXus STS - All Terrains on my stock wheels. I've also heard of a couple guys on this board that are running 35's without any rubbing.

Now I did crank my T-bars up 1.5" to level the truck out, so anything around a 33" tire should be fine.

As for the gears I have the 3.55s and they are fine on the highway. I even haul a popup trailer during the summer and have no problems. Now I wouldn't mind changing my gears just because the over all performance would be better. I would also think that I am placing added wear and tear on my truck but I don't plan to keep it forever. I've been running this setup for over a year and a half now with no problems.
