Message: I the lift back in December. on my 97 Dakota I got it for about 1100 bucks. not too bad. there were 4 mounting bolts missing. i called tuff country they had it on my doorstep by 6am. the next morning. they are a great company and i would recommend them to anyone. My truck rides better than it did with the stock suspension and it gets alot of looks.

Message: Big Dak~
are you running a body lift with that 5.5? if so how's it holding up? i just got my truck lifted and i want it bigger so i am thinking i want the 5.5 now to total 8.5 of lift and then maybe some 35s. is it hard to put the suspension lift on with a body lift already on? i'm no mechanic, but it seems like they wouldn't effect eachother at all right?

Message: BIG DAK CHRIS,
I talked to ya in regards to lifting my v6 with the tuff country. I've decided I'm gonna go that route once I get my income tax returns back, but I've been pricing out these lifts everywhere. Where'd you get it for 1100 bucks? Did you do the lift yourself?

Message: Yes, i am running a 3 inch body lift on top of the 5.5 suspension.... to get the lift for 1100 here is what you do. Get a jcwhitney catalog and there is a coupon on the back for anything over 200 dollars is 15% off. just use that because the lift in their catalog is something around 1247 without the discount yet. It turned out i was missing four mounting brackets and i called tuff country and they had it shipped to my door by 6 am the next morning no questions asked. No i had a local offroad shop install the lift. They didnt seem to have any problems with it at all. Here is how it turned out... http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/752231

Message: I installed this lift myself in about 9 hours. The alignment did not hold the first time. I recommend removing the paint from the upper control arm adjustments prior to the alignment and repainting them after so you can tell if it moves and save your tires. I believe they were not tight enough the first time and/or the paint came off allowing it to move. The alignment bolts must be tight. My truck works perfect now and I love it. I would recommend this kit. You can see my truck here http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/768745
